How the seeds of our story came to bloom.

Marco’s Pantry was born of a simple idea to solve complex problems. Food insecurity, over farming, and above all, tremendous waste define our food systems today. And our local farmers want nothing more than to deliver the fruits of their labour to you. 

Tons of fruit is lost to us because of senseless cosmetic requirements. Big stores want perfect-looking cherries, apples, blueberries, cranberries and pears. This means that sweet, nourishing fruit goes to waste by the bushelful. This isn’t fruit from the ground, mind you — it’s perfectly good harvest, binned because it has a tiny dimple or an odd shape. 

The fruits of British Columbia are too good to waste. Who could argue with that? So, we’ve captured these lost riches of the system, and fed them into a delicate processing system to preserve every scintilla of brilliant flavour, every drop of healthy benefits, and deliver it straight to you and your family pantry as directly as possible. 

Okanagan Beverage Company is a key component of this model. This pillar of the BC orchard community connects our local growers together, and, crucially, leads our pure, unintrusive, healthy processing methods.

Marco’s Pantry brings growers, families, and orchards together, empowering all of them –– and all of us –– to better nourish the health of our bodies and this land we all love. And this keeps a lot more value in the system.

    As founder of Okanagan Beverage Co. and the driving partner behind Marco’s Pantry’s flagship juice line, Kristen has blended her expertise in local food systems, value-added processing, and community impact to craft a brand that’s as intentional as it is delicious. Her work champions sustainable agriculture, fair partnerships with growers, and a new standard of transparency in the food space.

    SUSTAINABILITY DIRECTOR

    Life and business partner to Kristen, Remo brings a rare mix of Italian standards for excellence and Swiss-style efficiency to every product that moves through the facility.  From juice extraction to production flow, his systems-thinking and attention to detail keep the entire process running smoothly, safely, and consistently.
